In the upcoming months, thousands of college graduates in Michigan will be starting their careers and a new life outside of college, yet nearly half of those graduates will be leaving Michigan.
“Michigan has some of the best academic institutions in the nation, yet many of the students graduating from those colleges and universities are moving away and not returning until 5-10 years later,” said Antoine Dubeauclard, president of Media Genesis. “We are losing the creativity and ambitious flare these recent graduates have to offer. Michigan needed a solution that would bridge the gap and make students aware that there are job opportunities here in Michigan.”
In efforts to help rebuild Michigan’s economy and keep recent graduates in the state, Media Genesis, a Troy web development company, teamed up with the Detroit Regional Chamber, West Michigan Strategic Alliance, Presidents Council for State Universities of Michigan, Digerati, Issue Media Group and many others to develop a website that would promote internships in Michigan.
The objective of the website, www.InternInMichigan.com, is to match students from Michigan’s many colleges and universities with internships at in-state companies. The site also gives advice for students on how to obtain an internship and to employers on how to have an internship program that is cost effective.

Trolls can be scary. Not necessarily in the “What are you doing under my bridge, and why did you eat my goat?” sense of the word, but trolls can make deciding how you and your company are going to interact online a scarier thing.
If you’re still not sure what a troll is, allow a little help from Wikipedia:
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

Semantics is the study of the meaning of words and sentences. While this is how you communicate to your friends, family and coworkers, it now can apply to how we communicate with search engines. Google, Yahoo and MSN require different language tactics to help them understand and process your website content efficiently. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is the process in which search engines place value on websites based on the organization of their text. Algorithms determine what a page is trying to say by analyzing the words and phrases and how their meanings are related.
Google’s mission statement is “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful”. Their algorithm’s main goal is to place value correctly on web pages and rank them appropriately for each given search.
Update: One year later, Debeauclard is at it again! read more:
A Troy businessman was arrested today when police discovered him participating in an alleged illegal cheese exchange. Antoine Dubeauclard, 35, of Royal Oak was arrested for possession of over 60 pounds of Casu Marzu (worm cheese).
Dubeauclard made an exchange with undercover officers for nearly $5,000 of the illegal dairy product, according to police reports. The French-born business owner fled the scene after the exchange, but officers were easily able to track the smell Dubeauclard had picked up after spending up to three weeks locked in a shipping container with his prized Casu Marzu. No tracking dogs were needed to trace the scent, officers said.
The alleged stinky cheese smuggler will be arraigned in district court Friday, at 2 p.m. Dubeauclard, who is the president of the Troy-based Internet firm Media Genesis, has a small and telling record of similar offenses.
In 2006 Dubeauclard was arrested in Ferndale for selling knock-off Teletubbies DVDs. The French characters in his movies were ironically named “smell”etubbies, and happened to be made from blocks of Casu Marzu.
In 1998 Dubeauclard was charged with loitering when his one-man street tribute to The New Kids on the Block was shut down after an incident outside of a Royal Oak nightclub. Allegedly, Dubeauclard was asked by the club’s bouncer to take his act to another store front. An altercation broke out. The one-time tribute artist told police his left fist was named Jordan and his right was named Donny, police reports said.
In 1997 the troubled entrepreneur was arrested for the first time, this time, for selling cologne without a permit. Dubeauclard was picked up from Somerset Mall in Troy, where he was selling his “Fred Durst” fragrance to young passers-by – mostly those in red hats. According to police, the scent was derived from Casu Marzu.
Casa Marzu is s a traditional Sardinian cheese made from sheep’s milk. It is known for being covered with live maggots. Despite being illegal, it can be found through illegal channels in Italy.
Insect larvae are deliberately introduced to the cheese, promoting an advanced level of fermentation and breaking of fat. When disturbed, the larvae can sprint for distances up to 8 inches.
April fools….
