Inpro Insurance Group: Website & Print Materials

InPro Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency with headquarters in Troy, Michigan. For more than 45 years, InPro continues to be a leader in providing insurance products to businesses and individuals.

A Fresh Redesign for a Growing Company

InPro Insurance Group came to Media Genesis in 2016 for a complete website redesign and rebuild as well as a refresh of their marketing collateral. Before coming to Media Genesis, InPro had a website implemented in Classic Active Server Pages (ASP), which is Microsoft’s first server-side script engine for dynamically generated web pages. Due to this website setup, their team couldn’t make general updates themselves, but had to send edits to a developer to update. Having a Content Management Systems (CMS) that was easy to use and a website that was mobile-friendly were two key components of this website redesign and rebuild.

Before the website project got underway, both teams started with the analysis phase of the project which included the following initiatives:

  • AMA (Audience-Message-Action) session
  • Annual Traffic Review
  • Competitor Design Benchmark
  • Content Trends & Best Web Practices

These analysis steps provided crucial information that impacted the website rebuild and redesign. We learned about their audiences, how people use the website, and how to make this new site better suit users’ needs. Using this insight, we moved into the design phase for InPro’s website and print marketing collateral.

Easy-to-Use Content Management System

Our development and project management teams met to discuss the project requirements and needs of the client to determine which CMS would best suit their needs. Since a user-friendly editable CMS was something they were missing on their previous website, we needed to select a platform that could handle their vast number of pages, but also make them easy to edit. Media Genesis recommended using Drupal 7 CMS, which offers a user-friendly interface to manage all their website content and images. Additionally, it allowed room for updates for a growing company like InPro.

Once the Drupal 7 CMS was selected, our designers started creating custom interior pages with 10 different design layouts, giving the website a modern look and feel.

The new InPro Insurance website launched in February 2018 with much anticipation and excitement. The newly-designed site is not only modern, but it also has a responsive design for mobile and tablet users. We are continuing our work on the InPro website with several Phase Two initiatives such as a custom blog, marketing, and social media support.
