MQIC Mobile Application
Media Genesis worked with the Michigan Quality improvement Consortium (MQIC) to develop a unique mobile application. MQIC is a consortium that is a portion of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. MQIC implements a core set of clinical practice guidelines and performance measures with a focus on improvement for effecting positive health outcomes. In an effort to make the guidelines and physician tools even more effective, Media Genesis built an app for MQIC, which allows mobile users to utilize the MQIC Guidelines and the MQIC Physician Tools that are available on the MQIC corporate website.
Currently, the guidelines section houses 45 PDFs and 17 website links listed under 21 topics. The tools page houses 18 PDFs, 10 videos, and 25 website links listed under 18 topics. Users will select topics from a drop down menu, then choose a document title, and finally download and view the PDF. Where the topic references a website or video, the application will link out (using 3G or Wi-Fi) to these items via the device’s native browser. The app will access the Guidelines and Tools database via the mobile device’s 3G or Wi-Fi capabilities. Once accessed, the user will have the opportunity to individually download PDFs to their device to view offline.
Media Genesis provided information architecture, usability flow, design, and programming on this application.
