AAA1-B to AgeWays Rebrand
AgeWays, previously known as AAA1-B (Area Agency on Aging 1-B), successfully underwent a rebranding process with the assistance of Media Genesis. This involved several key initiatives aimed at enhancing AgeWays’ visibility by making various changes to AgeWays’ website. This assistance ensured a smooth transition and maintained the continuity of AgeWays’ online presence, minimizing any potential disruption for their audience.
About AgeWays
AgeWays is a nonprofit organization based in Michigan, dedicated to supporting older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers in southeast Michigan. As a part of the national network of Area Agencies on Aging, AgeWays has established itself as a leader in aging services within the region, comprising Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St Clair, and Washtenaw counties. With a rich history dating back to 1974, AgeWays strives to ensure that individuals can maintain their independence and dignity while living in their own homes or with their family caregivers.
AgeWays offers various services and programs that enable seniors and disabled individuals to access the necessary support they need to lead fulfilling lives. They provide direct care programs for seniors while also funding and supporting community partner organizations. With a strong commitment to helping seniors and caregivers, AgeWays plays a vital role in advocating for their needs and ensuring they receive the necessary assistance and resources.
The Redesign
Previously known as AAA1-B (Area Agency on Aging 1-B), AgeWays underwent a successful rebranding process. Media Genesis assisted in this process by adjusting website colors, creating a rebranding landing page, and making edits to copy and design on the main website and their MyRide2 website. The rebranding initiative aimed to enhance AgeWays’ visibility and better reflect their mission and commitment to serving the community.
Phase 1:
- Media Genesis put together a video to highlight AgeWays and their new name.
- Media Genesis implemented the Google Translate tool to better serve users needing translation. Prior to this – the website only had 3 translated “About” pages for Arabic, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
Phase 2:
- Search Engine Optimization – Media Genesis rewrote meta titles and descriptions for the top 50 pages on the website, replacing AAA1-B with AgeWays prior to launch.
- Media Genesis assisted in the domain change from aaa1b/com/org to org.

The rebranding endeavor, combined with the updates to their website and the implementation of SEO strategies, positioned AgeWays as a trusted and reliable resource for the community.
