PathologyOutlines: Custom Website CMS

Media Genesis began working with PathologyOutlines.com, a website for pathologists worldwide to gain instant access to pathology resources, in 2014. Encompassing over 9,000 pages, the site provides rapid access to books, research abstracts, photos and other resources for this community.

When Media Genesis began working with Pathology Outlines, each of the over 9,000 pages were created and maintained using static HTML coding. To facilitate management of such a significant amount of information, Media Genesis created a custom Content Management System (CMS) for the Pathology Outlines team. MediaG also evaluated the advertising model and redesigned the homepage to give the site a fresh, new look.

To date, the phased HTML conversion to custom CMS solution has resulted in updated chapter pages, books content area as well as a dedicated mobile design for mobile devices. We also implemented a custom search feature on the books page to make finding information faster and easier for visitors to the site.
