June 2016 Header Design

Each month, we ask one of our designers to create a unique header for our newsletter. The design is tailored towards a selected theme or season. As we’re heading towards beach season, our designer started out with a sketch of different sand castle arrangements and styles for our June 2016 header. Once completed, she moved onto creating a digital version of the sketch through Adobe Illustrator.

After setting up the ‘skeleton’ of the design, she researched different types and textures of various grains and colors that would make up the castle and letters.

From there, our designer focused on stylizing the castle and adding effects and textures for depth.
