Turning Shop Floor Credibility into a Buyer Ready Website
H.M. White designs and fabricates advanced manufacturing systems, high efficiency ventilation, and precision metalwork for industrial clients across North America. As the company expanded, the leadership team saw an opportunity to make the website work harder: tell the full story of capabilities and projects, make it easy for buyers to self navigate, and keep content current without adding internal overhead.
The Challenge
The previous site didn’t reflect the depth of H.M. White’s services and industries, offered limited proof points, and wasn’t aligned to modern SEO/UX expectations. The ask was clear: create a site that surfaces services, showcases work by industry, and communicates nearly 90 years of experience—while remaining simple to update in house.

The Approach
We partnered with H.M. White from planning to launch, translating shop floor expertise into a clear, credible digital experience.
Information Architecture that mirrors how buyers evaluate. Through working sessions, we mapped services and industries into a sitemap and navigation that make sense to engineers and procurement teams. Page names were refined to match search behavior and reduce ambiguity.
A homepage that orients quickly. The new homepage introduces who H.M. White is, what they build, and who they serve—followed by explicit paths into services, industries, and projects. We edited a hero video from workshop footage to give visitors real world context in the first seconds.
Depth where it matters. New sections for Services, Industries, Projects, History, and Culture provide the detail buyers expect. The History page includes a timeline highlighting milestones across nearly nine decades, reinforcing longevity and reliability.
Project library built for relevance. We created a filterable portfolio that lets visitors browse by industry and scan projects that mirror their own environment. Each project detail page surfaces scope, applications, and outcomes—and includes downloadable cut sheets to support specifiers and purchasing.
Geographic credibility at a glance. A coverage map shows where H.M. White has completed work across the U.S. and Canada. It’s editable in the CMS so the team can add new states and regions in seconds as new work is completed.
WordPress configured for speed and control. The site runs on an easy to maintain WordPress setup with reusable content modules, clear fields, and guardrails that keep pages consistent. This means the H.M. White team can add projects, publish updates, and evolve the site without developer bottlenecks.
SEO smart by default. We implemented a clean URL structure, descriptive titles and meta descriptions, and on page headings that reflect target services and industries—establishing a solid baseline for discoverability.

The Outcome
The new hmwhite.com functions like the best kind of project partner: prepared, organized, and easy to work with. Visitors find their path faster, and the site provides the evidence they need to keep conversations moving.
- Buyers reach relevant service or industry pages in fewer clicks from the homepage, reducing drop off.
- The portfolio and project pages provide immediate, comparable proof for technical evaluators.
- The coverage map and history timeline strengthen credibility with new prospects and partners.
- The WordPress configuration lowers the cost of keeping content fresh and aligned with current work.
Internally, H.M. White now has a site that supports business development instead of standing in its way. Externally, the brand presents the scale, geography, and quality that longtime clients already recognize.

Why It Matters
Industrial buying is rigorous. Teams need to validate capability, experience, and fit quickly. By structuring content around real buyer questions—What do you build? For whom? Where have you done it? Can I see examples?—this site shortens evaluation cycles and showcases H.M. White’s strengths without hype.
