Erebus Haunted Attractions: Digital Marketing Campaign
Erebus Haunted Attraction is a 4-story haunted building located in Pontiac, Michigan. Erebus has been up and running since 2000 and operates during the fall season (September-November). Not only do they run the haunted house, they also produce the Fear Finder magazine that advertises many haunted attractions and fall themed activities in the Michigan area.
Erebus Haunted Attraction came to Media Genesis in search of a redesign of their homepage and calendar for purchasing tickets for the 2017 Halloween season. They wanted to modernize their look, and provide a clean, user-friendly experience for ticket goers wanting to browse their calendar and purchase tickets.
In addition to the redesign of these pages, there were additional marketing items that Erebus requested help with. We used previously recorded video footage and created pre-roll videos of the Haunted House that were used in online marketing campaigns and social media platforms. We also recorded a promotional video for the Fear Finder and how, with their app, you could have a fun and spooky AR (Augmented Reality) experience while flipping through the magazine.
Erebus users are now able to access information from the homepage with a new design that shows a sneak peek of the Haunted House, as well as easily purchase tickets with this new simplified and modern design. The marketing campaign also gave way to over 5.5 million impressions in just one month.

Another video production task was to film the Fear Finder Magazine. New to the magazine in 2017 was an augmented reality app that added interactive video to many of its pages including virtual pop-outs, scary imagery and games. The video was used for promoting the app and used in online digital marketing.
In addition to the redesign and video work we also managed their online marketing campaign including; Facebook ads, Google AdWords, display ads, pre-roll video, native advertising and Geo-Targeting. For this campaign we created new visual assets for the advertising.
