Drupal is a Content Management System (CMS) built in PHP that is ideal for knowledge management and business. With more than 1.3 million community members worldwide, Drupal is one of the largest free CMS platforms available to the public. Created in May of 2000, Drupal is now on its 9th version(Drupal 9) and has announced an end-of-life date for both versions 7 and 8 in the year 2021. To learn more about Drupal and what you need to do to prepare for a CMS upgrade, reach out to Media Genesis today.
American House came to Media Genesis in need of a website (with a CMS) they could own and update internally. Media Genesis created a new American House website using a Drupal 7 content management system, with custom development features that include micro sites for more than (at the time) 45 senior living communities and custom web views so that all community data and pages can be easily accessed and edited by the American House team.
Media Genesis also implemented custom logic on the website for marketing purposes, which allows American House to track leads coming to their site.
Cooper Standard Foundation came to Media Genesis in order to create a new, stand alone website using the Drupal CMS platform. Media Genesis began by creating functionality documents, outlining the functionality the website already had as well as desired functionality to be added in the new build, which provided the skeletal components of the new site.
In addition, MG created multiple interior page templates for Cooper Standard Foundation to use when and where needed. Specialized forms were created in order to allow users to submit requests for sponsored charity events and scholarships. Once approved, Media Genesis completely custom built these designs in Drupal 8.
Gentherm partnered with Media Genesis in order to design and develop a new website that met all of their growing needs. We began by programming the new site design into custom HTML files for Drupal – the CMS platform which best fit Gentherm’s more industrious web needs.
In addition, we created custom page templates for a brand new, cutting-edge design, which incorporated full-bleed headers and a video in the homepage header. These page templates could be used for interior pages throughout the site in order to produce Gentherm’s desired look and feel while still providing the necessary functionality.
InPro Insurance Group came to Media Genesis for a complete website redesign and rebuild. Based on InPro’s needs and rate of growth, Media Genesis recommended a transition from their limited HTML build to a Drupal content management system.
The new Drupal website allowed the InPro team to make edits to their site without needing developer assistance. It included brand new navigation, a robust resources section, and a careers portal where users could upload resumes. Media Genesis built 10 different custom interior pages, as well as custom icons that InPro could add to each page as needed.
Lifestyle Matters and Media Genesis came together to create a new website with improved functionality that would replace Lifestyle Matters’ out-of-date Joomla site. After analyzing the current setup of the Lifestyle Matters Joomla website, as well as reviewing the needs expressed by the client, Media Genesis recommended Drupal as the ideal platform for the new website build.
In addition to a new design, MG implemented an ecommerce section on the website that included shipping as well as specialized filtering capabilities and a custom filter menu that Lifestyle Matters could edit as needed. A donation form was also added to the website, which connected to a user’s PayPal.
REDICO partnered with Media Genesis in order to redesign and develop a new corporate website, as their previous Joomla-based site was outdated. The REDICO team wanted to move away from the Joomla CMS and implement more robust functionality.
After an initial site review, Media Genesis recommended Drupal as the new CMS, and proceeded to build pages with far more substantial functionality, such as the Properties page, which allows users to search REDICO properties by keywords, regions, square footage, and property types. An Image Gallery was also implemented, in which users can download and/or view full-screen images of properties.
