Media Genesis redesigned and built the Cranbrook Art Museum website on a WordPress platform. In addition to the overall redesign, MG implemented a new eCommerce store for both physical and digital items, such as gift shop purchases, museum and event tickets, memberships, and donations.
In order to meet the client’s needs and design requirements for this site, we used a combination of WordPress plugins and custom post types. Woo Commerce powers the eCommerce portion of the site, which gave our development team the flexibility to create a unique layout for the store pages.
James H. Cole came to Media Genesis in need of a new, improved website for their eCommerce store, Custom Tribute. MG leveraged the WooCommerce tool to provide the product database backend as well as the online store functionality that enables users to purchase products from the website.
All products are separated into three categories and an administrator-level user can easily add, remove, or edit products as necessary using the WordPress admin functionality that WooCommerce provides. Media Genesis also included custom code to accomplish some of the client requirements that WP/WooCommerce did not handle already.
SaveOn works directly with businesses and provides users access to savings in their community through print and digital strategie in the Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Twin Cities areas.
SaveOn needed an e-commerce solution to sell digital gift cards to their clients. In order to fulfill this requirement, Media Genesis extended the functionality of the WooCommerce plugin to generate coupon codes that would function as digital gift cards. Since any given deal would only have a limited number of gift cards, it needed to be possible for digital codes to be generated ahead of time and stored so SaveOn could access the list of the codes and present them to their clients.
Starting in the 1960’s in Detroit Michigan, Olga’s Kitchen has become an iconic Michigan brand. Olga’s offers Greek and Mediterranean-inspired meals in a family restaurant setting.
Olgas’s Kitchen uses WooCommerce to sell gift cards. This includes both traditional gift cards and virtual gift cards that can include custom messages and greetings. MG made custom changes to the WooCommerce template files, allowing Olgas to offer “Bonus Bucks” to customers based on the amount of gift cards purchased. These bonus bucks are sent to customers after their purchase and function similar to other in-restaurant gift cards.
Run Guards is an anti-chafe product that revolutionized the endurance athletic market for anti-chafe products in 1998 with the goal of improving performance, using more natural ingredients, eliminating wasteful packaging, and driving prices down for athletes.
MG utilized the pre-built WordPress theme with WooCommerce support in order to help Run Guards quickly start selling their products online.
